The approx. 240 m² brise soleil of this multifunctional arena consists of 70 frameless monocrystalline PV modules. The module dimensions, that are geared to the façade grids and heights, required specially manufactured PV modules.

The brise soleil, that covers a segment of around 60° of the circular arena, tracks the sun at half-hour intervals in steps of 7.5°. Hence, only that part of the building exposed to the sun at any given time is actively shaded (SOLARINTEGRATION.DE).
