The building envelope on prefab timber wall elements and well insulated roof permits construction to low-energy standards. The clients of this project must be credited for their openness with regard to trying out new approaches.

This unusual structure consists of a frame of timber wall elements, prefab plumbing units, and a photovoltaic system (with an installed capacity of 8.47 kWp) in the form of sliding blinds on the south façade of the front building (HERMANN KAUFMANN ZT).
