The hotel’s façade-integrated photovoltaic system generates the entire energy required for heating and ventilation. Of course, part of the electricity required for operation of the hotel also comes from this system.

Because of the small amount of energy consumed by this passive house, a water-source heat pump is used. This pump delivers the heat into the hotel through the ceiling by means of concrete core activation. The same surface heating is used to cool the building in summer, with the well water used for cooling.
