The office building with around 7500 m² rentable area has a 400 m² PV system on the south façade. By means of a special “fold”, the appearance of the façade was optimised so that both the thermal collectors and photovoltaic elements are oriented ideally towards the sun. The photovoltaic system consists of six rows of modules spread out over the façade.
The PV system is also innovative because two thirds of the system have a flexible connection system. This is used to run inverter tests. A test module array was installed in the top third of the photovoltaic system. This module array uses three different cell technologies so as to be able to measure them in real conditions (OEKONEWS).
