PV modules with polycrystalline cells (polycrystalline modules)

Polycrystalline modules are easily recognised by their shimmering blue surface with typical frost pattern. Polycrystalline modules are sold in various sizes, forms, colours and transparencies, with or without frames. The efficiency of polycrystalline modules is around 14%. The sample illustration of a PV module shows a module consisting of 48 polycrystalline solar cells in a light-anodised aluminium frame.
