Transparent roofs

As multifunctional elements in transparent roof structures, PV modules allow a rich variety of solar solutions in architecture. As semitransparent roof units they can protect the building from heat, sunlight, glare and the weather. They also allow selective use of daylight. Additionally, large-surface applications with optimised incident angles guarantee high electricity yields (Schüco 2005).
